Ellen, that really is too bad. I think you should go to RonPaul2008.com and read about the endorsement that the SC Minute Men gave Dr. Paul on his stance on border security and how to deal with the illegal problem. As for Mr. Thompson, he may not be out the door yet, but he is certainly being handed his hat.

I agree with you Jack. I cast my vote for Paul this morning, unregrettably. It doesn’t matter to me now if he loses. There is always 2012 (if he is feeling up to it). As for now, he will have made his statement about true freedom and this is one mind he has opened to the possiblity of said freedom. I am thankful for Dr. Paul for the wake up call. If the Dems do take it and screw the country up more with their Big-Government dreams and more and more people begin to see that they have been cheated of their liberties and freedom to choose, hopefully this will give them some insight on what they gave up when the passed up Dr. Paul. Maybe, just maybe if he does run again, they will remember and a landslide ensues. A dream maybe? But I know I am not the only one.

I can’t support Ron Paul and he’s from my home state. I much prefer the more measured and deliberate actions promoted by Fred Thompson. He’s the only across the board conservative in the race. And his views on security resonate with those of us in the border states. The only other candidate that seems to have the vision and experience is Mitt Romney. The others are simply soundbite merchants and of them I find Mike Huckabee especially annoying because he’s changing his views based on whatever polling he gets at the time. Of course, that’s what Clinton did for years, so maybe it’s a viable strategy. But I hope true conservatives will come out strong for Fred Thompson. He may be our last best hope if the next president is going to get to appoint two judges to SCOTUS.
