What sort of vice presidential pick would best help an Obama ticket in November? Let’s look at what the pundits believe – a candidate who appeals to the suburban and rural white working class, yet is still metropolitan (which makes urban liberals comfortable), who is popular with black Americans (“bling” is a powerful motivator), who is irresistable to women (voters), who has name recognition, credibility and mass appeal – and is a confident, well-spoken, natural campaigner to boot. A no-brainer, in my opinion:
