Jack, so far 2 folks (neither of them from South Carolina) have met my challenge and matched my $20 donation to Mr Conley’s campaign. It’s a small start, but it’s something. We need more folks going the same to help Mr Conley get his message out.
I just donated $1000.00 and I’m one of the most frugal people you’ll ever meet.
If just ten more people reading this blog donate that much we can start a landslide that will wipe out the big corporatist, war-mongering, imperialist, Lindsey Graham! Lindsey will need to spend several million dollars spreading his lies in order to stay in power. Bob won’t need that much but he’ll need enough to get the word out.
I’ve met Bob Conley and know people who’ve known him quite a while and I can tell you he is one DEVOUT church goer. He is a principled supporter of the working man and lover of our Constitutional liberties. He is not a rich lawyer. He is a hard working man who has sacrificed his career and a lot of income to run. We should be thankful that someone of his caliber will, as our Founding Fathers intended, take time out of his life to truly represent us.
BTW:
I’m from the Columbia, SC area!
Jack,
Poblano (Nate Silver) thinks that Conley could win this one, based on some mathematical models he’s developing.

But the commenters correctly point out that Conley has a huge disadvantage with regard to cash.
The $64,000 question is, do progressives still smart over Cone’s loss in the primary, or get behind Conley?
A lot of people criticized Ron Paul, I think, for just being about the War. In a Republican Primary, that was probably a mistake. In a general, though, especially when trying to attract Democrats, he will want to keep his message as simple as possible. Change or more of the same. War or Peace. Freedom or tyranny.
