WTMA commentary broadcast 7/18/08:
When South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford embarassed the John McCain campaign on CNN, by not being able to note any significant differences between President Bush and McCain’s economic policies, he not only proved himself to be an honest man – but he’s not alone.

Too bad that McCain is not an honest man. As a traitor and someone who is embarassed by his own ancestry (see his comments on our Confederate flag) he disturbs millions of people in his own party.
You are right. Jesse Helms had heart and strength of character. He conveyed the wishes of his constituency faithfully to Congress. Very admirable. I hope he’s roasting in hell right now, alongside Jerry Falwell.
I never cared for Falwell either – I always thought he was an opportunist and rather fake. In general, I dislike all televion preachers.
Helms was a patriot though.
