The pundits ganged up on Paul best they could and he not only kept swinging, but injected a healthy dose of common sense into the ongoing debate over the bad economy. Lew Rockwell described the exchange this way:
“Ron was the star of the Morning Joeys today. It was a cage match on the economy. They’d throw one Keynesian guy at Ron, and when the guy was beaten, they’d throw another Keynesian, and another. Ron was superb, even by Paulian standards. He wielded the empire, the Fed, Greenspan,l fractional-reserve banking, and other unmentionables against the economic ignoramuses.”
What struck me is how some of these folks seemed to suggest Paul’s dollars-and-cents common sense was somehow “utopian.” I don’t remember the punditry questioning President Bush too hard as to whether trying to establish American-style democracy in the Middle East was utopian, which it unquestionably was, not to mention has a lot to do with the current economic crisis – and Paul goes there:

Not only did Dr. Paul have to fight off a few moron’s he fought off 5 in total and turned there b.s. right on him. Maybe Controlled media will toss 10 at him next time?
Good show Ron! The fools were struggling to make any sense at all.
The owners will still steal the farm but at least their crime won’t go unnoticed. WAKE UP! It’s your money. Welcome to the third world. Say goodnight Gracie. This would be funny if it wasn’t so serious.
Ron Paul is the Messiah…..Thank god there are those like Ron Paul to make sense of this mess.
A nimble and agile mind. A man of steel.
An Australian perspective….Thanks Mr Jack Hunter!!!!!!
We had basically no debt, a military, roads and many of the basic things we needed prior to 1913 and there was no income tax then. What always escapes comment when they interview Paul is that a privately owned corporation, the federal reserve came into being the very same year as the income tax. Why is it this country can’t add 2+2 and see the corrupt connection between the tax and the fed. When he syays get rid of the income tax people think he’s a nut and think it is un american to not pay and how would we ever survive without it. Take your little brains back to before 1913 when a privately owned corporation was put in charge of our monetary policy.
Too bad the MSM, who are now falling all over themselves to hear what the good Dr has to say, refused to let him utter a word when Americans were trying to decide who to vote for! We got ourselves into this mess, but it is not too late to start paying more attention to those who just plainly make good sense. I especially liked the point he made about us rebuilding Iraq’s bridges, which were blown up by US, while our own infrastructure crumbles. It defies logic.
The question de jure: Are these people simply stupid (brainwashed and incapable of understanding basic economics) or are they simply trying to keep the Sheeple convinced that the Emperor is wearing clothes? I suspect the latter is the case… as evidenced by the reference to “Obama is trying something to fix this” at the very end of the video. Did they not hear anything that Ron Paul said?
Whether they are just stupid or duplicitous, they all deserve to be thrown off the air.
Viva la REVOLUTION!!!
Once again, Dr. Paul knows the way, and neither party listens. I want to see Ron Paul debate and beat the worst of the Keynesians there is today, Paul Krugman.
I hope Dr. Krugman will have his Nobel prize revoked when the dollar collapses.
The government is doing the same thing as a citizen getting a new credit card and maxing it out to pay their bills, it only creates more bills and debt, and thus the citizen needs another credit card, creating a vicious cycle.
MY HUSBAND AND I WROTE IN RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT IN CALIFORNIA. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OUT HOW MANY OTHERS DID THE SAME BUT HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY INFO ON PERCENTAGES. DOES SOMEBODY NOT WANT US TO KNOW??
I met the man once, a great hero of Freedom to the world at large. A great American the true Revolutionary.
Thanks God we didn’t elect this man. How dare he support the Constitution, look back to our founders for wisdom, support real money and not the Faux Reserve and act like he is looking out for US.
My guess is the lobbyist, special interest whiners and white haters don’t like him much nor hang out in his office.
Thank god I am not the only one paying attention here. Great comments so far.
I met Dr. Paul during the 2008 Presidential Campaign in SC and Thanked him for the things he was doing for us. I am now more appreciative of him than ever. THANK YOU Dr. PAUL !!!!!
“Ron Paul is the Messiah…..Thank god there are those like Ron Paul to make sense of this mess.” ~Echidna
In response to Echinda’s comment. Representative Ron Paul is not a messiah. That is the difference between Ron Paul and politicians like Obama, Clinton, Palin, and McCain. They are cults of personality, Ron is not.
Ron Paul is an individual, nothing more, nothing less. It is the message he spreads that is important, not the man himself. Americans once cherished Liberty, maybe they will again.
Ever see 5 diapers changed in less than 10 minutes?
Ron Paul did it here.
Cage Match? A little more like Tag Team wrestling of the old days, where the Ref is ignored and one side gets no help. But Paul looked like Andre the Giant against these dust collectors. Why is it so hard for these people to process what he is saying?
wow, it was great that these guys gave Ron Paul so much air time. But, lord, they are idiots. He was very clear in explaining how to move forward but these people just can’t grasp it. They just can’t grasp reality. Amazing.
thanks Jack
great video
Mika has got to be one of the dumbest people on the news. She has no idea what is going on. I can never stand to watch this show because she is so freaking annoying.
This was one of the best interviews I’ve seen from Ron Paul. I disagree with the Messiah comment above. Ron Paul is an individual who wants to be nothing more than an individual, which makes him very different from other politicians. He just wants to be left alone and for others to be left alone and to be free.
Ron Paul makes a great deal of sense, it was the Neo-Cons, like that sland-eyed gook Michelle Malkin and Jew-Owned and controlled Fox News that ruined him.
Brilliant man, I need more info on this Congressman.
The yes-men paradigm strikes again. Break out of your collective “Box O’Simple minds”, stop calling for mama (your government), face reality, and listen to Dr. Paul.
