The Republican Party has but one primary agenda: to get into power and stay there. They will kowtow to whatever group they have to to achieve this end. Right now, social conservatives and evangelical Christians comprise their broadest power base. Until such time as young conservatives can flex enough political muscle to displace the afore-mentioned groups as this party’s primary power base, nothing will change.
Tony Blankley is crazy. I wouldn’t worry about anybody taking his views seriously. Despite the pro-war spirit still alive and well in the Republican Party, I doubt that many would really be on board with any of his BS.
